Marvel Reveals Hulk’s One Major Physical Weakness

The Hulk might have superhuman strength and durability, but that doesn't mean that the Jade Giant doesn't have any physical weaknesses.

According to Comic Book Resources, Marvel comic book readers get to learn about one of The Hulk's most glaring physical weaknesses in the most recent issue of Avengers of the Wastelands by Ed Brisson, Jonas Scharf, Neeraj Menon, and Cory Petit.

Issue number 4 of Avengers of the Wasteland follows the story created by mark Millar nad Steve McNiven's Old Man Logan epic in a dystopian world where the villains of the Marvel Comic Book Universe join forces to destroy a majority of the world's heroes.

Though Bruce Banner is no longer present in the universe of Avengers of the Wasteland, he is continued by Bruce Banner Jr. who inherits his father's capabilities as the Hulk. Bruce Banner Jr. is part of the Avengers of the Wasteland, a group of heroes fighting against the tyrannical rule of Doctor Doom.

In Avengers of the Wasteland #4, readers get to see the heroes head to Osborn City, a terrifying place filled with the bodies of dead heroes hanging from pillars. When they enter the walled city, the Avengers of the Wasteland are attacked by supervillains led by Green Goblin.

Bruce Banner, Jr. is attacked by the Wild Child who instantly leaps on to the Hulk and slices into his eyes with his claws. It's a brilliant maneuver. Sure, the Hulk might have seemingly impenetrable skin, but that doesn't mean that he has the same trait for his eyes.

The young Hulk ends up screaming in pain, blood running out of his eyes and down his face.

It turns out Hulk's eyes are his Achilles heel. We wonder whether Wild Child's trick will ever make it into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel's next movie, Black Widow, is set to release on November 6, 2020.
