Marvel Reportedly Looking At A Christopher Nolan Actor For The Nova Role

Earlier this week, Joe and Anthony Russo revealed that Richard Rider was actually hidden in the climactic battle sequence between the Avengers and the armies of Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. While the directors retracted their statement and said that they were just joking around during the interview, fans were eager to believe that Endgame was setting up the introduction of Nova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, the rumor mill is spreading the word that Marvel Studios is actually looking at one of Christopher Nolan's actors to play Richard Rider in the Marvel Cosmic Universe.

According to TVO on the Lords of the Long Box channel, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is setting up a meeting with an unnamed twenty-something actor who had once appeared in a Christopher Nolan movie to audition for the role of Richard Rider.

For those who aren't familiar with the hero, Rider is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps. The Nova Corps is an organization that was introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy. Nova was supposed to make an appearance in the movie, but James Gunn decided to edit out the superhero from his script.

We can't really be sure who Marvel is looking at, but based on the description, we're guessing that the studio is considering 25-year-old Harry Styles, a former member of the boy band One Direction who starred in Nolan's movie, Dunkirk. There's also Fion Whitehead, a 22-year-old actor who also appeared in Dunkirk.

Let's wait and see if ever Marvel really casts any of these two to become the new Nova.

Avengers: Endgame is currently available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
