Marvel Reportedly Introducing Galactus And Doctor Doom As 'Endgame-Type' Villains

Marvel might not have announced all of its future plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe just yet, but now rumors are spreading saying that Kevin Feige is hoping to use two major Fantastic Four villains for the franchise.

Cosmic Book News has been keeping up with the latest MCU rumors as of late, and according to the entertainment news outlet, word on the street has it that Marvel plans to turn Doctor Doom and Galactus into major villains in the MCU. According to the rumors, these Marvel villains are supposed to be major "Endgame-type" villains appearing in the new films that Marvel has prepared for fans.

For the uninitiated, Galactus is a cosmic entity that consumes planets to sustain his life force. The character is often depicted as a god-like figure that operates outside of the morality and conscientiousness of mortal beings. Galactus started out as a space explorer named Galan who gained cosmic abilities after passing very close to a star. In the current story, Galactus story has Galan as a space explorer that merged with the "sentience of the universe" to eventually become Galactus, devourer of worlds.

Meanwhile, Doctor Doom is an archenemy of the Fantastic Four. The monarch of the nation Latveria, Doctor Doom also comes into conflict with other major marvel heroes like Iron Man, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Captain America.

Both Doctor Doom and Galactus are popular comic book villains. It would be interesting to see them join the Marvel Cinematic Universe - though it might take a while for Marvel to do so. After all, the studio has yet to introduce the X-Men and the Fantastic Four into the franchise.

Avengers: Endgame is currently available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
