Marvel Reportedly Discussing Bringing Spider-Woman Into The MCU

Disney might have had some problems coming to an agreement with Sony about having Spider-Man (Tom Holland) stay in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but now that the studios have finally smoothened set themselves a new deal, fans can't help but wonder what else is in store for Peter Parker.

While there's been very little word about what Marvel has planned for the MCU beyond Phase 4, there is a rumor running up and down the mill saying that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is trying to bring another Spider-Man character into the franchise – Spider-Woman.

According to a report by The News International, Feige is currently attempting to work up a deal with Sony so that Spider-Woman gets to join Spider-Man in the MCU.

As Peter Parker's female counterpart in the comics, Jessica Drew (otherwise known as Spider-Woman) is a popular Spider-Man character that fans have been hoping to see in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While the character's film rights still belong to Sony, the Spider-Man deal that Disney has with the studio may allow for some leeway for Spider-Woman to appear in a future Spider-Man film. Sure, Sony may want to reserve Spider-Woman for its own film universe (Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters), but the studio may also want the character in the MCU. Sony would benefit from having Spider-Woman join the rest of the Avengers over at Marvel.

Of course, as with all rumors, we suggest that fans take the report with a grain of salt. We can't believe anything until we get an official announcement from Marvel.
