Marvel President Kevin Feige Addresses Captain Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame Controversy

Captain Marvel may have been a major commercial success for Marvel Studios, however, some fans have been expressing concern over Carol Danvers' (Brie Larson) role in Avengers: Endgame. Sure, the Avengers might have a fighting chance now that Captain Marvel's returned to Earth, but fans are worried that Carol might overpower everyone else, taking away too many moments that might be intended for the original six Avengers.

Speaking in an interview with Empire Magazine (via Movie Web), Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige reassures fans that Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and the rest of the Avengers are going to take center stage in Endgame.

"People would point out that that Cap wasn't in Infinity War a whole lot. And Iron Man didn't really speak for that last half hour because of what was going on," Feige told the entertainment news outlet, "But those characters, and all of the original six, are very much the focus of Endgame in a very personal and emotional way."

Endgame's focus on the original six Avengers seems pretty clear in the recently released trailer for the film. Captain Marvel is just a bonus in the film – though we're not quite sure whether Carol Danvers will the one to take down Thanos (Josh Brolin) in the film.

Whether or not Carol will be able to given the chance to square off with the Mad Titan in Endgame, we're certain that the Avengers will need all the help they can get.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
