Captain America (Chris Evans) and Bucky (Sebastian Stan) have often been coupled together by Marvel fans who've fallen in love with their chemistry. Now it seems like Marvel has their very own comic book characters gushing over the pairing between the two friends, so much so that these characters even write their own fanfiction about the two.
Gwenpool Strikes Back #3 just recently explored the whole love for the Steve Rogers x Bucky pairing with a beach day among a few Marvel heroes. Gwen invites twenty or so Marvel icons for a day under the sun in the latest issue of Gwenpool Strikes Back, and Marvel fans get a healthy dose of fanservice with the heroes swapping their regular super suits for swimsuits at the beach.
Seeing Bucky and Steven stand together, Gwenpool, one of Marvel's most ‘meta' character, decides to acknowledge the popular pairing by telling the two that they look really good together. Moving on from worldless staring to the compliment of the two looking good together, Gwenpool then suggests that the two should "wrestle" together.
Marvel's true fangirl, Kamala Khan (otherwise known as Ms. Marvel) sees the interaction and decides to steer Gwen away from the two to avoid anything strange from happening. Taking Gwenpool aside, Kamala then talks about fanfiction.
"My advice? Fanfiction. Whatever you want, there's a fic for that," she advises Gwenpool.
It's pretty cute how Marvel comics have acknowledged fanfiction and the popularity of Steve and Bucky as a couple. We wonder if Kamala's ever written fanfiction about the two yet. We wouldn't be surprised if she has, or if Gwenpool tries a hand at it too.
