Marvel Congratulates Ant-Man 2’s Michael Douglas On Receiving His Star On The Walk Of Fame

Michael Douglas just got his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Marvel Studios hasn't missed the opportunity to congratulate its Ant-Man and the Wasp actor on one of the biggest moments of his life.

Taking to its official Twitter account, Marvel Studios gave Douglas a hearty congratulations after the actor was awarded his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, joining other big stars like Guardians of the Galaxy Uhura actress Zoe Saldana, Thor: Ragnarok's Cate Blanchett, Avengers: Infinity War's Scarlett Johansson, and of course Ant-Man and the Wasp's Paul Rudd.

While Douglas doesn't play a major role in the MCU like the other Hollywood Walk of Fame actors and actresses, he does play an important part in the Ant-Man movies and the franchise definitely wouldn't be the same without him.

For those who aren't familiar with Douglas' history, the actor began his career when he was 22 and first appeared in the film Cast a Giant Shadow. He's had many projects since then, including One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which won an Academy Award for Best Film and the 1987 movie Wall Street which led him to winning Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

It's quite a surprise that the Hollywood City Council took this long to award him his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame considering his history in the industry and the awards that he's reaped in the course of his career, but then again now's a better time than any.

Marvel's next film, Avengers 4, is scheduled to premiere May 3, 2019.
