Marvel Confirms Disappointing Number Of MCU Movies Available During Disney+ Launch

Star Wars and Marvel fans might be eager to subscribe to Disney+ once Disney's upcoming streaming site launches tomorrow, but it looks like the platform won't have as many Marvel movies as fans would hope during the launch.

Last weekend, Marvel released a new video revealing the line-up of Marvel movies that are set to become available on Disney+ once the site launches this week. Unfortunately for Marvel fans, Disney won't have too many Marvel movies available during Disney+'s launch tomorrow.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe might have 23 films under its belt, however, Disney is only making 8 of those films available on Disney+ during the site's launch.

These movies include Iron Man, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Endgame.

We don't understand why there are a lot of missing movies from Disney+'s launch list. Why is Disney releasing Avengers: Endgame on the site without Avengers: Infinity War? Shouldn't both those films go hand in hand?

While this news piece might sound disappointing, fans shouldn't be too alarmed. We're certain that Disney will eventually release all of the MCU's offerings on Disney+ as time progresses.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to all of the different series that Marvel is preparing for the site. There's Falcon and the Winter Soldier which releases on Fall 2020, there are WandaVision and Loki which are both set for spring 2021, and then Marvel's What If...? set for summer 2021. Hawkeye is set for release in fall 2021.

There are other series being prepared for the streaming site as well like She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel, all of which will play an important part in the MCU.

Disney+ launches tomorrow, November 12, 2019.
