Mark Ruffalo Says Avengers 4’s Main Production Isn’t Completed Yet

Production for Avengers 4 might have ended late last year, however, it seems like Joe and Anthony Russo still have to work on the very end of the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel might currently be in the middle of reshoots for Avengers 4, however, it seems like the studio isn't just filming extra scenes for the second installment in its two-part Avengers movie, it's actually finishing the film.

Mark Ruffalo just recently spoke with Peter Melnick and Eddie Wilson on The Marvelists: The MCU podcast about his work on Avengers 4, and during his discussion with the hosts, the Hulk actor revealed that the reshoots that Marvel's been working on will also be used to complete the movie.

"We're doing reshoots starting in September, and then we'll go back into the international tour, we'll go on tour," said Ruffalo. "Then you guys will get the second installment. Which we don't even know what it's gonna be yet. We're not just doing reshoots. We're going to finish the movie, which we really didn't get to finish totally when we left it last year."

This is definitely interesting news for fans. Marvel announced that production on Avengers 4 had been completed last year and that the reshoots that it had set for this month were just to make adjustments to the film.

In a regular production, reshoots are only done to add some creative tweaks to film projects, however filming the end of Avengers 4 during its reshoot period may likely be one of the methods that Marvel is employing to keep spoilers from leaking out to the public.

After all, Marvel has a lot of tricks up its sleeve – during the production of Avengers: Infinity War the Russo Brothers even gave fake scripts and filmed fake scenes just to throw off Marvel fans keeping track of leaked photos and videos.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
