It looks like Mark Millar is hoping that his Kick-Ass reboot might get its own TV show.

Millar just recently sat down to speak with Yahoo Movies UK about his Kick-Ass reboot, a comic book series starring a black female hero named Patience Lee. Much older than the original Kickass, teenage student Dave Lizewski, Patience is a military veteran from New Mexico with two young children.

According to Millar, he had chosen Patience Lee as the main character of his reboot because he saw that there weren’t enough people of color as superheroes in comic books, and he wanted to make a difference.

Though the rebooted comic series wasn’t part of the Millarworld company sale to Netflix, the comicbook artist also thinks that it’d be great idea to turn Kick-Ass into a TV series.

I think the time is right and the character’s got a lot of goodwill, with Hit-Girl in the same continuity, it would be an awesome TV show,” Millar said.

It’d be a fun series too.  Millar also revealed in his interview with the publication that the original Kick-Ass, Dave, and the other characters surrounding him in the original series were also connected to Patience’s universe, opening the potential for crossovers. This is great news for fans who’ve come to love the original comicbook series and the 2010 Kickass movie.

There isn’t any news yet of when the Kick-Ass reboot will hit shelves, but we’ll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
