There’s a brand new trailer for the second season of Luke Cage and it’s as exciting as ever.

Mariah (Alfre Woodard)is queen in Marvel and Netflix’s new trailer for Luke Cage, ascending to power in the Harlem underworld after the death Cottonmouth (Mahershala Ali) during the first season of the superhero series. Devious as she might be, it looks like Luke (Mike Colter) is going to have to protect Mariah and enter a short alliance with the politician to stop the next villain to invade Harlem, Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir).

Check it out down here:

Introduced in the very first trailer for the second season of Luke Cage, Bushmaster is a force to reckon with, claiming Harlem from Luke with a punch and kick just as strong as the bullet-proof Marvel hero. Bushmaster even seems to have the same bullet-proof skin as Luke, taking on gunmen with ferocity in this new trailer for the series.

With the Bushmaster after Mariah in an attempt to take control over Harlem, Luke is forced into an alliance with the manipulative politician to protect the place he calls home.

Here’s the synopsis for Luke Cage Season 2.

“After clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he feels to protect the community. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.”

Luckily, Luke still has a bit of help. Luke Cage Season 2 also sees the return of Simone Missick’s Misty Knight, Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple, and Theo Rossi’s Shades.
