Luke To Display Unbelievable Power In Star Wars: Episode IX, Reports Say

Luke (Mark Hamill) might have sacrificed his life to save the Resistance at the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, however, it seems like Lucasfilm is bringing the Jedi Knight back in Episode IX and according to a new rumor he's going to demonstrate unbelievable power in the movie.

According to a new report by Express, a story in the official canon book Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Legends of Luke Skywalker actually describes an epic moment that might just occur in Episode IX.

Picturing out a crash of an Imperial Star Destroyer during a huge battle over the planet Jakkua, the story is set after the events of Return of the Jedi. In the narrative, an imperial gunner on a Star Destroyer starts to recall one of the most terrifying moments of his life: seeing a hologram of Luke using the Force through a hologram to take an entire Star Destroyer out of the sky.

Hologram Luke also reaches out towards the gunner as if to choke him, and then the projector on the ship explodes.

It is this epic display of power that we might get to see in Episode IX.

New leaks have made their way out of the set of Episode IX, and in one description, fans get to learn that the movie will have Star Destroyers littered across the sky while X-wings are getting shot down by TIE-Fighters right over a sandy planet.

It is at this moment that a cloaked figure reaches out his mechanical hand, "fingers spread as an Imperial Class 2 Star Destroyer begins to sink, as it hits the ground a shock wave is seen with a wave of sand concluding the sequence."

It is a pretty exhilarating scene, and while the character could be anyone else, the main guess is that this hooded figure is actually Luke or a Force projection of Luke. The Jedi Master has always been very strong in the Force, however it barely comes as a surprise hearing that Luke might take Star Destroyers out of the Sky in Episode IX.

What do you think of this new leak? Could we see Luke taking Star Destroyers down in Episode IX?
