The site claims that the only reason why Lucasfilm refuses to announce Johnson's exit from the franchise is that Disney is afraid to let out negative press when the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian is so near. The studio also doesn't want further controversy before the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which is set to premiere this December. Word has it that Disney is holding off official announcements about Johnson's fate until after Episode IX screens.
While the news might alarm some, we should remind readers to take the report with a grain of salt. There have been multiple rumors about Johnson exiting his trilogy over the past few months, and yet Lucasfilm has yet to confirm any of these reports.
