Kraven The Hunter Writer Including Tom Holland’s Spider-Man In His Script

Marvel fans might have been disappointed to learn that Tom Holland's Spider-Man was really nowhere to be found in Sony's Venom, but it looks like the fan-favorite web slinger may still have a chance of swinging into Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters in the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie.

Kraven the Hunter writer Richard Wenk just recently went on an interview with Discussing Film, and during his time speaking with the podcast, the screenwriter revealed that he's currently in the middle of producing the script for the movie.

That's not all. The writer also dropped a little bombshell for Marvel fans, admitting that he's envisioning a story where Kraven "comes face-to-face with Spider-Man," by playing around with the concept of the comic book, Kraven's Last Hunt.

"It's an interesting world, a great character... it's in the Spider-Man universe. I'm going to adhere very closely to the lore of Kraven the Hunter, and he's going to come face-to-face with Spider-Man. I think that where we're all circling is that this is Kraven's Last Hunt, and whether this is the precursor to that movie, whether it will include it, we're talking about those things. And even the idea that maybe Kraven could be like Kill Bill, basically a two-part movie. It's all in the mix."

As with any Spider-Man villain, it's hard to imagine a Kraven standalone movie without Peter Parker. Wenk would definitely be making the right call, adding in Spidey to his script for Kraven the Hunter.

Of course, as exciting as it may sound to see Holland in a Sony movie, fans ought to remember that Wenk is still in the early stages of the writing process, and Sony could very well have things changed as he continues with his work. Hopefully, the studio changes its mind and brings in Spider-Man for its web of movies focused on Spidey's baddies.

Venom is currently screening in cinemas.
