KFC is working on publishing a new videogame, and while it might not seem too strange for a fast-food chain to get into videogame development (Burger King decided to release a series of video games a few years ago too), it looks like the company is upping its game by publishing a dating simulator featuring Colonel Sanders.
Psyop is currently developing a game called I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger-Lickin' Good Dating Simulator which ultimate goal is to have players end up together with a very fit version of Colonel Sanders. A game published by KFC, this new dating simulator has its own teaser trailer as well as a Steam store page for gamers interested in Colonel Sanders.
"I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger-Lickin' Good Dating Simulator follows you, a promising culinary student, as you try to date your classmate, Colonel Sanders,” the description of the game reads, “Throughout your journey, you’ll be faced with life-changing decisions that will affect your chances of friendship and love. But be careful! Your choices have real consequences with real animated characters’ feelings at stake.”
According to the game’s steam page, I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger-Lickin' Good Dating Simulator features a number of traditional dating simulator elements. That includes a dateable version of Colonel Sanders, as well as a secret ending to the game. It’s a pretty wild videogame, one that might not seem to be that big of a hit in the US. In Japan though, that might be another story. KFC is quite a popular brand in Japan, and fans have taken a liking towards the animated version of Colonel Sanders. This game might actually be a hit over in Japan.
