John Boyega Says FinnPoe Can’t Be Stopped In Star Wars: Episode IX

The chemistry between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in Star Wars: The Last Jedi might have set the Reylo ship full speed ahead, but John Boyega thinks that Finn's relationship with Poe(Oscar Isaac) is the one that's going to last the longest in the sequel trilogy.

MTV News just recently posted a clip of its interview with the Star Wars actor during this year's D23 Expo, and in the video, we get to see the entertainment news outlet ask Boyega about which relationship he thinks would last the longest in the new Star Wars film.

"What relationship has the longest staying power," MTV News' Josh Horowitz asked the Star Wars actor,"Is it Finn-Poe, Finn-Rose, or Kylo-Rey? What's gonna last?"

"Finn-Poe," Boyega said without skipping a beat, "Finn-Poe's gonna last."

"No, no, no, like can not be stopped," Boyega emphasized when Horowitz agreed by saying the coupling couldn't be stopped, "You literally meet them in the movie together like all the time. You know, they've done several missions. You know, in the time it's been between eight and nine, they've really been, you know, spending some good time with each other."

The FinnPoe ship definitely seems like it's staying strong. Though we don't really expect a romantic relationship between the two to start in Episode IX, we do know that fans have been shipping the two together ever since the characters first met each other in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's been fun that both Boyega and Dameron are into the ship as well, talking about FinnPoe from time to time during the promotional campaigns for their films.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
