Jim Carrey Takes Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker Role In Creepy New Image


There's a whole lot of excitement building up over Joaquin Phoenix's upcoming Joker movie. Not only is the film supposed to be a series break from the tradition of and comic book movies accumulating in the comic book movie film industry, but Joker is also supposed to serve as a character study of a beloved comic book villain.

Everyone's also pretty excited to see Phoenix as the new Clown Prince of Crime, believing that the Her star could top off the performance of Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.

While most DC fans don't have any complaints about Phoenix as the Joker so far, some have been wondering what Joker would be like if Jim Carrey took on the part. After all, Carrey used to be one of the top comedians in Hollywood back in the 90s. The actor even got his chance to play Edward E. Nygma, the infamous Riddler, in Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever. Sure, Batman Forever might not have been one of the best Batman films, but fans can't help but love Carrey's over-the-top take on the Riddler.

Would Carrey have been able to do a good job on Joker? Now, digital artist Anarchy Graphics imagines what the Yes, Man! actor would look like if had the part.

Carrey looks pretty good here – the actor certainly looks like he could play an excellent version of the Joker. Unfortunately, we're not quite certain that the actor will ever get that part. Phoenix seems like he'll make an exceptional joker, and his performance might become one of the most memorable iterations of the character.
