Jeremy Renner Teases New Beginnings For The MCU After Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame was a spectacle. Not only did the film give an end to the story brought on by Avengers: Infinity War, it also closed the curtain on Phase 3 of the franchise, ushering a new age for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As heartbreaking as it might be to see Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sacrifice their lives in the film, fans are eager to see what kind of beginnings Endgame might bring.

Speaking with fans during the 2019 Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio (via ComicBook.com), Marvel's Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner teases these new beginnings, admitting that Marvel Studios has so many plans for the MCU.

"With Endgame, I think with any ending, it creates a new beginning for a lot of things. Marvel has a lot of plans for a lot of things. So it was exciting," the actor said.

Discussing Endgame with fans, Renner acknowledges how high the bar was for the film. Not only was the film supposed to give an end to Infinity War, it was also supposed to sum up the entire franchise.

"But to sum up 21 films is very difficult, but I think it satiates a lot of the fans. I'm only here because of the fans, as we all are. Hopefully I feel like we satiate a lot of people, and a lot of people had to go, but then I think it creates new beginnings for other things," Renner admitted.

One of these beginnings is a new spinoff series for Disney+, one which will see Hawkeye training new superhero Kate Bishop to take over his role as Marvel's sharpshooter. Let's wait and see how that turns out.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
