Jeremy Renner Gets Called Out by His Ex-Wife Over Request for Reduced Child Support

Last month, word came out that Avengers: Endgame star Jeremy Renner was requesting the reduction of child support payments due to the lack of projects resulting from the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Now, it looks like Renner's ex-wife is calling out the Marvel star for his attempt at reducing his child support payments. Speaking in an interview with Daily Mail, Renner's former spouse, Sonni Pacheco, reveals her disappointment with the actor.

While Renner's request seems rather reasonable considering the state of the entertainment industry in the face of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the document that the Marvel star sent accuses Pacheco of mismanaging the $30,000 that he sends as child support. According to the actor, the money has been used by his former spouse to support her current lifestyle and to further the custody battle that he and his ex have over their daughter.

In her interview with Daily Mail, Pacheco denies that she receives $30,000 as monthly child support.

"It is very disheartening that in a time of global crisis there is yet another attempt to reduce funds I rely on to provide for our child. I think it's time after seven years of hell, I start addressing the lies myself. First, I do not receive $30,000 in monthly child support," Pacheco tells the entertainment news site.

Pacheco also denies that the child support has been used in the legal battle she has with Renner. According to Pacheco, she had only used her savings and Ava's savings because she wants to protect Ava from her father.

"Second, all of my savings and Ava's savings have been drained due to lawyer fees, as my concerns for Ava's safety have been an ongoing battle for years now," Pacheco continued explaining, "I have, and will always choose to protect Ava when I find out about disturbing behavior exhibited by her father at his homes that put her in danger. Last but not least, I am choosing love and to continue to wish him the best and a healthy safe life."

It seems like Renner's battle with Pacheco continues even amidst the coronavirus pandemic. If what Pacheco says is true, we hope that the actor continues giving his daughter his full financial support, especially in this time of crisis.

Despite the proceedings in his personal life, Renner is set to reprise his role as Clint Barton in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
