Jeff Goldblum on Whether He’ll Return in Thor: Love and Thunder

Marvel fans loved Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarok. The eccentric ruler of Sakar was a delight to see on the big screen and everyone's wondering whether Marvel will feature more of the Grandmaster in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Stopping by Buzzfeed to play with puppies and answer various questions from fans to help promote his new series on Disney+, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, the Jurassic Park actor was met with inquiries about his future in the MCU. One fan wanted to know if Goldblum would return to Marvel to reprise his role as Grandmaster in Taika Waititi's new Thor movie, Love and Thunder.

"Hey, we're talking about it, in fact. You know, I hope so. I love Taika Waititi, he's a great director and a friend of mine, so I hope so," Goldblum said.

It might be hard to imagine the Grandmaster leaving Sakaar, but anything can happen really. Perhaps the Grandmaster finally decided he was tired of the trash planet. Perhaps he was chased out by a new ruler. There are a lot of ways to write the Grandmaster off of Sakaar.

We can only wonder what kind of life the Grandmaster might live outside of the planet and what kind of shenanigans the character might get into in Love and Thunder. Would he ever come across Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and if so, what would be the Asgardian Queen's reaction?

There's a lot of excitement building up over Love and Thunder. Not only will we be able to see Valkyrie as the new ruler of Asgard, but we'll also be able to see the return of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, this time, as Mighty Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to premiere on November 5, 2021.
