James Gunn’s Script For GOTG 3 Reportedly Tossed Out By Disney

Marvel fans supporting James Gunn might have been hoping that Disney might eventually rehire the director for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, however, a new rumor says that the Mickey Mouse House might have just thrown out the script the filmmaker wrote for the film.

According to a new report by Omega Underground/ GWW writer Christopher Marc, Disney has already "tossed out" the script Gunn developed for the third and final installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Disney might not have released any statement about their plans for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 just yet, but this new rumor suggests the studio might have already made a decision within itself.

Of course, rumors shouldn't be taken as a confirmation, so fans ought to take this new development with a grain of salt. However, if Omega Underground's report does prove to be true, then fans will have to wait longer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to release, seeing that the studio will have to find another script for the film.

Still, Disney may not mind the delay, seeing that a new director will need an open slate to work on his or her vision for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Let's just wait and see what the studio's next move will be.
