J.K. Simmons Says More Commissioner Gordon is Possible in Snyder Cut

It looks like DC fans may see more of J.K. Simmon's Commissioner Gordon in Zack Snyder's cut of the controversial Justice League.

Warner Brothers surprised DC fans when it announced the arrival of the Snyder Cut on HBO Max, and while everyone's more than eager to see Zack Snyder's infamous cut of Justice League, the director still has a few more scenes to add on to the movie.

Of course, new footage for the Snyder Cut means more scenes for side characters, including Commissioner Gordon.

Speaking in a recent interview with Jake Hamilton on YouTube, Simmons was asked about the Snyder Cut and whether there'd be more scenes with Commissioner Gordon. According to the DC Extended Universe star, Snyder did get everyone's permission for new footage and it seems like the film is going to feature a little bit more of Commissioner Gordon.

"I did talk to Zack. Yeah. He had to get everybody's permission to even do that. By everybody, I mean the cast. We chatted a couple times," the actor told Hamilton, "I don't know there is going to be significantly more Commissioner Gordon. There is a little bit more that we shot that wasn't in the first cut there. So I don't know. I'm anxiously awaiting as all the fans are."

This shouldn't really come as a surprise to DC fans. Snyder just recently let followers know that the theatrical release of Justice League only had 25% of the footage that he shot for the movie, so it seems that there's going to be a lot more scenes that fans haven't really gotten to see.

The Snyder Cut is set to release on HBO Max sometime in 2021.
