Here’s When You Can Start Making Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Reservations


There was a lot of excitement when Disneyland announced that it was working on a Star Wars theme park for Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge was set to open on 2019 – the same year that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the sequel trilogy's third and final entry, would make its premiere.

Now, Disneyland Resort announces the official Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge reservations start date, letting guests know when they can start making no-cost reservations to the Star Wars theme park. According to Disneyland, guests can begin making their reservations on May 2. Access to Galaxy's edge require's theme park admission and reservation which can be made until June 23, 2019. No standby lines will be available during this time.

Those planning to book a stay at any of Disneyland Resort's three hotels are given a guaranteed reservation at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge with one reservation per registered guest. This allows all of Disneyland Resort's guests the chance to check out Disney's new Star Wars experience.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is one of Galaxy's Edge main attractions. Allowing guests the chance to pilot the iconic YT-1300 Corellian light freighter, Smuggler's Run is being set as one of Galaxy's Edge opening day offerings.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the Star Wars theme park's second attraction, is set to open later this year.

Disney is set to reveal more detailed instructions regarding reservations for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge on the Disney Parks Blog and the Disneyland website starting May 2 at 8 am PT. Registration opening is set on the same day but at 10 am PT. Interested guests must have a Disney Account for registration.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is set to open on May 31 Disneyland Resort and at Walt Disney World Resort on August 29.
