Here’s What Dave Bautista Could Look Like As Suicide Squad 2’s Bane

Yesterday, word came out that Warner Brothers had tapped former Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn to write the script and potentially helm the DC Extended Universe's Suicide Squad 2. It didn't take very long, but once the news ran online, Guardians of the Galaxy's Drax the Destroyer, Dave Bautista, immediately expressed interest in joining Gunn's new project.

Excited to hear that Bautista would want to join the DCEU, fans started figuring out the perfect role for the wrestler-turned-actor, and soon enough, they named the Guardians of the Galaxy star as a potential Bane. With his large bulky build, Bautista would make the perfect fit for the popular Bat-villain, taking on the role that was once played by Tom Hardy in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Rises.

Now, thanks to a gorgeous fan art piece by pop culture graphic artist BossLogic, fans get to see what Bautista might look like if he were to play a comic book accurate version of Bane.

Those who've seen The Dark Knight Rises know that Nolan tweaked the design of bane to fit the universe he created in his Dark Knight Trilogy. Taking away the tubes that made up the character's original design, Nolan tried to give his version of Bane a more grounded look.

Though Gunn may want to add in a few tweaks to the design as well ( if he were to direct the movie and choose Bane as a character for Bautista), we can image the director going for this more comic book- accurate look for the character.

Of course, with his muscled body and his height, it really isn't hard to imaging Bautista taking on the role of Bane.
