Hawkeye May Be The Next to Die in The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Avengers: Endgame was undoubtedly a major turning point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only did the movie alter the timeline of the MCU by having the Avengers travel through time to obtain the Infinity Stones to defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin) but Endgame also took away a number of major characters, including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and of course, Captain America (Chris Evans).

While the danger of Thanos is already past, there are those who speculate that the rest of the Original Six may face the ax in Phase 4 of the MCU, beginning with Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner).

According to a report by Geo TV, fans have begun speculating the potential death of Hawkeye in phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, Hawkeye might be set to return in his own Disney+ series, however, fans all know that Clint Barton is going to train his daughter, Kate Bishop, as his successor. If Kate is to take his place, then there won't be any room for Hawkeye in the MCU.

Interestingly enough, Hawkeye's rumored death is also fuelled by Renner's real-life troubles. For the past few months, the Marvel star has been embroiled in major controversy now that the actor is busy dealing with a custody battle over his daughter with his ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco.

It wouldn't sound too farfetched for Marvel to write-off Hawkeye after all of the issues that have been following Renner.

Hawkeye has yet to receive a release date but we'll update fans as soon as we get word.
