Finn Jones Says The Defender’s Story Spans Only “A Couple Of Days”

Marvel is finally bringing its Netflix superheroes together in its team-up miniseries The Defenders and everyone is excited to see Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage and Finn Jone's Iron Rand interact with one another.

However, while fans are eager to see the team gather together and bond, it seems like The Defenders will only give the heroes a few days to work together.

Speaking during a Q&A session along with Colter during the 2017 Comicpalooza in Houston last weekend (via HHWLOD), Jones revealed that all of the events of The Defenders would take place in a short period of time to give fans a feeling of intense urgency.

"[The Defenders] takes place in a very short amount of time. It's 8 episodes but it takes place over a couple of days. So it has this real-time frenetic energy to it which I think adds to the impending doom. So we're all kind of brought together not through choice, but through necessity. We don't want to work with each other but our backs are against the wall and we kind of have to."

While the feeling of "impending doom" does sound thrilling, some would probably want more time for the team to breathe and grow to know each other. But then hearing sarcastic quips between heroes who don't really know or like each other could be interesting too.

The Defenders releases on August 18, 2017.
