Emilia Clarke And Kit Harington React To Danaerys Targaryen and Jon Snow’s Love Scene

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 7 finale.

The final episode of this season of Game of Thrones held a lot of great scenes for fans. Not only did The Dragon and the Wolf unite most of the fantasy epic's major players in the Dragonpit at King's Landing, the episode also united the Dragon Queen (Emilia Clarke) and the Bastard King of the North (Kit Harington) together in bed, giving fans the love scene that they've been waiting for all season.

However, while the season finale did finally consummate all those heated glances shared by Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, the showrunners had to tint the scene with a little reminder from Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) that the two are actually having an incestuous traipse together.

Now in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Clarke and Harington talk about the conflicted scene and their feelings towards the couple's actual relationship.

When asked what Dany's reaction might be if she found out she was actually related to Jon, the British star reacted, laughing. "'Ewww!'I think that's how it's going to go. I get the toothbrush–" the actress went on pretending to brush her tongue.

The Dragon Queen had thought that she had stepped away from her family's tradition of incest, only to find herself unknowingly stepping back into it.

Harington's main concern however was adding more spark to the romance.

"Usually you go into a movie and meet [your costar] for the first time and you develop that chemistry over that time," the actor explains. "But if you've known somebody for seven years and shared this incredible journey in your own lives together … we're both kind of freaking out about it. I would be like, ‘What's the sexual tension in this scene?' and she's like, ‘Stop talking about sexual tension!' It's a unique experience to be in as an actor and you know the world is watching."

"Yeah [I would say], ‘Would you just stop? Just give me some sexy eyes, don't keep talking about sexual chemistry all the time,'" Clarke adds. "I love that when we get to the saucy stuff it's a beautiful acceptance of a wordless … yep."

It's a pretty conflicting scene that has fans rooting for Daenerys and Jon's love affair despite its incestuous truth. Hopefully the next season has more love scenes for the both of them, this time without Bran getting in the way.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres sometime in 2018 or 2019.
