EA On Whether Or Not Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

Last weekend, developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts officially unveiled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order during a special panel at the 2019 Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. A single player action-adventure videogame, Fallen Order that gives gamers an original Star Wars story set after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – The Revenge of the Sith.

Not only were fans blown away by the game's cinematic trailer released during the game's panel at this year's Star Wars Celebration, but they were also pleased by Respawn's confirmation that the game wouldn't have any of EA's microtransactions, multiplayer modes, season passes, and DLC's.

While this is definitely good news for gamers, Respawn has yet to touch base on whether not the game will be made available for Nintendo Switch – unfortunately, it seems like the odds seem pretty unlikely.

Jay Ingram, a community manager specialist at EA, decided to address gamers' questions about The Fallen Order on Twitter, responding to a query about whether not Respawn Entertainment has plans for a Nintendo Switch port for the game.

Of course, this could change over time depending on the demand for the game on Switch, though the update might come either before or after The Fallen Order's launch. Right now, it seems like Fallen Order is set for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Nintendo Switch gamers will probably just have to wait.

Here's the official overview of the game:

"A galaxy-spanning adventure awaits in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new 3rd person action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment. This narratively-driven single-player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities, and master the art of the iconic lightsaber - all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors. While mastering your abilities, players will engage in cinematically-charged lightsaber and Force combat designed to deliver the kind of intense Star Wars lightsaber battles as seen in the films. Players will need to approach enemies strategically, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your Jedi training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path. Star Wars fans will recognize iconic locations, weapons, gear, and enemies while also meeting a roster of fresh characters, locations, creatures, droids and adversaries new to Star Wars. As part of this authentic Star Wars story, fans will delve into a galaxy recently seized by the Empire. As a Jedi hero-turned-fugitive, players will need to fight for survival while exploring the mysteries of a long-extinct civilization all in an effort to rebuild the remnants of the Jedi Order as the Empire seeks to erase the Jedi completely."

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15.
