Disney CEO Offers Update on Marvel Show’s Debut on Disney+

Marvel fans might be itching to see WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and all of Marvel's upcoming Disney+ projects, however, it seems like it may take a while before any of these shows make their way to Disney's streaming site.

Disney just held its Q3 earnings call yesterday and during the meeting, Disney CEO Bob Chapek decided to give a few updates on its upcoming projects. Not only did the House of Mouse announce its plan to release Mulan on Disney+, but the company also offered new details on the status of the upcoming Marvel series.

WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki may have begun production, however, these highly-anticipated television projects still need to finish filming before they head for release on Disney+. Chapek's updates came as a response to an analyst asking about the shortage of original content on Disney+ when compared to competitors like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

All three Marvel series were expected to release this year, however, COVID-19 rolled in and stalled the production of all three projects. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision were close enough to the finish line before the pandemic upended production, so we're hoping that both series don't get delayed as much as the others.

It's been a long while since Marvel fans have gotten new content, and everyone's hoping to see the studio's upcoming series make its way to Disney's new streaming site. Crossing our fingers that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision either release at the end of the year or hopefully by early 2021.
