Deadpool Star Ryan Reynolds Comments On Disney And Fox Deal

There's probably going to be a lot of changes to the X-Men and mutant universe if Disney and 21st Century Fox finally reach a deal. While that might worry the studio's fanbase, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds is sure having a good time busting out witticisms on his social media handle.

Posting on Twitter, Reynolds shared a story about the possibility of Disney and Fox reaching a deal soon. Not only have there been reports that 21st Century Fox is favoring the Mickey Mouse House above all of its interested buyers, but there have been reports that negotiations have been going smoothly and that the deal could be finalized within a week.

Though the deal could put into question the future of the Deadpool franchise, Reynolds seemed to take everything in stride, writing that it was "Time to uncork that explosive sexual tension between Deadpool and Mickey Mouse."

Meanwhile, Marvel fans are pretty excited to see the deal push through. Disney acquiring Fox could only mean one thing – the return of the X-Men and the rest of the studio's mutants to Marvel where they belong. Even the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been expressing excitement over the venture, with Captain America actor Chris Evans proposing a crossover film with Steve Rogers and Johnny Storm, the Fantastic Four's Human Torch.

Deadpool 2 is slated for release on June 1, 2018.
