Marvel may have yet to announce its plans for the Deadpool film franchise now that Disney owns the film and television assets of 21st Century Fox, however, there have been a number of rumors circulating online.

The most recent rumor that’s made its way to Reddit says that when Marvel begins developing Deadpool 3, the movie may end up becoming rated PG-13, watering down the film’s brassy and raunchy flavor. Apparently, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has been a “control freak” interested only in doing his own projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This information comes from Redditor sorryeveryonemybad, a netizen who seemingly has some sort of credibility as a Marvel insider. For the past six months, this Reddit user has been posting Marvel insider information, saying that they work for Marvel and is now working closer with Feige in the studio.

Before releasing information about Deadpool 3, this same Redditor posted about how Marvel Studios would be staying away from Comic-Con at Home, though New Mutants would hold a panel for the vent. A few days after, word came out that Marvel and Star Wars would be skipping the 2020 San Diego Comic-Con and that New Mutants would remain.

Of course, as reliable as this new source of insider information might be, we advise fans to take the report with a grain of salt. Marvel hasn’t announced any of its plans for the properties that Disney acquired when it purchased Fox. Besides, the House of Mouse has promised Marvel fans that it would allow Deadpool to keep its R-rating. Let’s wait and see what becomes of Deadpool 3.
