Daredevil Star Vincent D’Onofrio Hoping To Work Together With Thor: Ragnarok Director

Now that Daredevil's been axed from Netflix, it looks like Kingpin actor Vincent D'Onofrio is looking towards Marvel director Taika Waititi hoping that he might be able to work together with the filmmaker in a future project.

The director who first caught attention after working on critically-acclaimed indie movies like Hunt for the Wilderpeople, What We Do In The Shadows, and Boy, was brought to the international spotlight after he was hired by Marvel to direct the third and final Thor (Chris Hemsworth) standalone movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

The Marvel film was a phenomenal success, and since then talented actors have expressed interest in working together with Waititi, including D'Onofrio.

Check out the Daredevil star's tweet down below:

Who knows, Waititi might be able to bring Wilson Fisk to the big screen in a future Spider-Man movie. After all, he is a Marvel darling – we're pretty sure that the studio would listen to whatever Waititi might pitch.

However, this might not happen as soon as fans might hope for. Netflix put a clause in its contract with Marvel TV for Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, keeping the characters of this series from appearing anywhere else outside of Netflix until two years after their respective cancellations.

If D'Onofrio were to play Kingpin on the big screen, then we'd probably have to wait for two years for it to finally come to light.

Still, D'Onofrio could play any other character for any other Waititi movie. Look, even Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell are collaborating with the director in Jojo Rabbit. Anything can happen really.

Marvel's Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to release on April 26, 2019.
