DCEU’s Birds Of Prey Gets Working Title And Production Start Date

It's been a while, but it looks like the DC Extended Universe movie Birds of Prey is finally moving forward.

Production Weekly (via Pursue News) just recently posted one of its listings online, and it seems like the report has just revealed that Warner Brother's upcoming female team-up comic book movie Birds of Prey has just been given a working title and production date.

According to the post, Birds of Prey will start work under the title "Fox Force Five," – a reference to Pulp fiction. Those who've seen the 1994 Quentin Tarantino movie know that the working title of the DCEU film comes from the pilot episode of a television show that stars Uma Thurman's Mia Wallace. Unfortunately, the pilot episode doesn't get anywhere in Pulp Fiction.

Focused on the exploits of an all-female team of secret agents, the pilot "Fox Force Five" in the critically acclaimed Tarantino movie holds a few similarities to the rumored plot of Birds of Prey.

Rumors have it that DC fans are going to see five women making the all-female team in Birds of Prey and this is going to include Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Cassandra Cain, Black Canary, Renee Montoya, and Huntress. There haven't been any casting announcements just yet, but with the gears for the film's production beginning to turn, we may get some casting news from Warner Brothers very soon, probably even by the end of the month.

After all, Production Weekly's listing also has Birds of Prey scheduled to begin filming next year, January 14, somewhere in Los Angeles. With production set for a date early next year, Warner Brothers will undoubtedly begin working on pre-production and begin searching for the actresses to fill in the main roles of the film.

Birds of Prey is to be directed by Cathy Yan with a script by Christina Hodson. The movie doesn't have a release date yet but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
