2018 might have been a difficult year for DC Extended Universe's Ben Affleck, however, it seems like the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star is taking some time to get together with his fans again by attending this year's Celebrity Fan Fest in Texas next month.
San Antonio news radio station 1200 WOAI just recently announced Affleck's upcoming appearance at the Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Texas by posting a picture of a press released in the form of a "Gotham Free Press" newspaper.
In the headlines of the press release, we get to read "Batman Coming To San Antonio: Ben Affleck to Appear at Celebrity Fan Fast November 11."
Sure there's been a lot of uncertainty surrounding Affleck's tenure as the DCEU's Dark Knight, however, the actor has quite a number of passionate fans who believe that Affleck's version of Batman is one of the most comic book-accurate versions of the character to appear on the big screen. Affleck has also been known to reciprocate in kind, showing immense appreciation towards his fanbase.
Unfortunately, this year has been quite a rollercoaster ride for the DCEU star. Not only has Affleck been busy attending rehab for excessive alcoholism but last fall, an MTJ VJ spoke out about the actor groping her during an interview years ago.
Earlier this year the actor also stepped down from his role as the director of The Batman, and reports have been swaying between Affleck staying to reprise his role as the Dark Knight and Affleck leaving the DCEU.
Hopefully, this time that the actor's going to spend with fans at the Celebrity Fan Fest will help reinvigorate Affleck and convince him to stay in the DCEU.
