DC Star Margot Robbie Doesn’t Want To Watch Star Wars Because Of Fans

Star Wars might be the biggest and most successful science fiction film franchises in Hollywood History, but it looks like DC Birds of Prey ( and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) star Margot Robbie has no interest watching any kind of film from Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away.

Speaking in an interview with MTV News to help promote the upcoming Quentin Tarantino movie, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Robbie reveals that she's never really seen any Star Wars film and is proud that she's never seen one.

Though it was never her intention not to see Star Wars, the actress admits that she's pretty glad that she actively avoids the franchise because of all the reactions that she gets from everyone when she reveals that she's never seen an entry from the film franchise.

"I've never seen any Star Wars," Robbie confessed, "And I kind of don't watch it now just because it infuriates people so much, like, 'How? How have you never watched any Star Wars?' And I just kinda wanna see how long I can make it now."

Of course, we'd understand why Robbie would want to keep away. Sometimes fans can get overly zealous about Star Wars – so much so that some even turn into bullies. The Star Wars fan base has been known to be overly protective and vicious. There have even been times when fans go and personally attack the cast and crew of Star Wars films they aren't personally fond of.

We really want to see the fanbase change, and we're hoping that it does with time. Sure, we're all entitled to our own opinions about art and media, but that doesn't give anyone the right to make personal attacks.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
