DC Fans Spot Heartbreaking Man Of Steel And Batman V Superman Connection

Knowing that there's very little hope for a Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, DC fans have been consoling themselves by digging deeper into the filmmaker's work in the DC Extended Universe, going over the details that interconnect films like Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

One of the thematic connections that fans have managed to spot between the two DCEU installments is the motif of love and loss that follows Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). In one of the scenes in Batman v Superman, fans get to see Clark telling his beau Lois Lane (Amy Adams) how she is his world. However, what seems like a tender moment between lovers is actually a call back to an important scene in Man of Steel.

Pointed out by a fan on Reddit, this tender scene between Lois Lane and Clark Kent shows just how much Superman soaked up the values of his Earthly father, Jonathan Kent. DC fans might remember how Superman's relationship with Jonathan was one of the central arcs in Man of Steel, and it seems like Clark learned a lot from his father.

Batman v Superman comes full circle when Superman then decides to sacrifice himself to protect Lois and the World from Doomsday – similar to how Jonathan sacrificed himself at one of the most heartbreaking moments in Man of Steel so that he could protect his son from the world.

Just goes to show how much thought Snyder put into his movies.
