DC Comics Publisher Dan DiDio Opens Up About Exit

DC comic book readers were met with shaking news over the weekend when word came out that co-publisher Dan Didio had been fired from DC Comics.

There's been a lot of discussion and speculation over DiDio's departure. Now, it looks like the comic book writer and publisher has finally taken to social media, opening up about his exit from the comic book publication. While fans would like to know all the details about the split, DiDio simply takes time to thank his fans and followers for the love and the support that they've shown him after hearing the news of his exit.

"Overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support and it leaves me at a loss for words (first time for everything). So, instead, I'll turn to what was said nearly five years ago on April 10, 2015 to best sum up how I feel. Love to you all," DiDio wrote in his post on Facebook.

The comic book writer also shared a video to go along with the post. The video was taken back in 2015 on the final day in the old offices of DC Comics.

The message that DiDio gives the members of DC Comics in the video seems to ring true even now that the comic book publisher has to exit the company.

In the video, DiDio gives a speech that reminds everyone that while the comics and creative minds behind DC Comics may change from time to time, the heart and soul of the company remains the same.

It's such a shame that DiDio is no longer with DC Comics. Right now Jim Lee remains as the sole publisher of the company. DC Comics has yet to announce formal plans of success for Dan DiDio. We'll update everyone as soon as we get word from DC.
