Could Star Wars’ Anthony Daniels Be Teasing An Episode IX Title Reveal?

Star Wars fans might have felt left out during the NFL's Super Bowl game between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots with the missing Star Wars: Episode IX trailer, but that doesn't mean that they've given up on hopes for a new Star Wars reveal. Lucasfilm might not be planning to drop a Star Wars trailer any time soon, but the studio could very well be planning a title reveal for Episode IX.

Star Wars' C-3PO star Anthony Daniels just recently dropped a major hint about what is most likely Episode IX's title reveal, giving a vague tweet about the details coming fans way. Taking to Twitter, Daniels teased "something amazing" for everyone, telling his followers to "stay tuned."

"How strange. I am receiving images of something amazing coming towards us - traveling over decades through space and time - reaching out to all humans on this planet with its message. What could it be? Should I be afraid? Should you? Stay tuned," Daniels wrote on his tweet.

Though the post could be interpreted in different ways (a teaser poster, first-look photos, a new teaser for Episode IX), Star Wars fans are expecting a revelation of a new title for the third and final installment in Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Of course, the message could also hint at something outside of Episode IX. We are, after all, months away from April's Star Wars Celebration.

Or the tweet could also be for unannounced and upcoming Lucasfilm projects.

Star Wars: Episode IX is set to premiere December 20, 2019.
