Could Ron Howard Be Teasing References To Dark And Light Side In Solo: A Star Wars Story?

Solo: A Star Wars Story might focus on Han Solo's (Alden Ehrenreich) origin as the iconic smuggler learns how to navigate the galaxy's underbelly, however, it seems like the Star Wars spinoff might actually feature references to both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.

Over the weekend Solo director, Ron Howard took to Twitter to compliment Emilia Clarke's work in his upcoming Star Wars movie, saying that the British actress "is remarkable and so good in Solo. But very tight-lipped about Game of Thrones."

One Star Wars fan decided to reply to Howard's Tweets, saying that as a fan of the Jedi and Sith lore, he's only watching Solo for Queen Daenerys.

Taking time to respond to the fan, Howard confirmed that "I honestly don't think you'll be disappointed enjoy."

Though it's possible that Howard's tweet could mean that Clarke's fan wouldn't be disappointed with the Dragon Queen's appearance in Solo, the director's response could also confirm references to the Jedi and Sith in the upcoming Star Wars spinoff.

Some have already asked the director what he meant by his response, but so far Howard has yet to reply. Guess we'll just have to leave it as a vague tweet and wait and see what happens in Solo.

Solo: A Star Wars Story premieres May 25.
