Could Maul Actor Ray Park Be Hinting At Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Appearance?

Marking the end of the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker promises to bring back some of the Star Wars franchise's biggest legends. Luke Skywalker might have sacrificed his life to save the Resistance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, however, Mark Hamill has been confirmed to return in the third sequel trilogy installment. After years of absence, Billy Dee Williams is also set to return and reprise his role as the ever suave Lando Calrissian. Palpatine has also been teased to return.

Now, as fans continue to wait for Lucasfilm to release the first full trailer for Episode IX, word on the street says another iconic Star Wars character may very well appear in the film.

There's been a lot of talk on the Star Wars Leaks Subreddit discussing whether or not Ray Park, the main man behind Darth Maul, might actually be hinting an appearance in The Rise of Skywalker. The actor just recently posted a Father's Day picture on Instagram, and while the post might seem innocent enough, a fan commented on the image telling Park that "your the fittest I've seen in a cool minute you must be doing some mail stuff."

The Star Wars fans over at Reddit assume that "mail" is a typo for Maul because Park responds to the comment with a coy pair of emojis – a thumbs-up and winking smiley face.

Could Park be preparing to appear in another Star Wars film after Solo: A Star Wars Story? Right now the only film that Lucasfilm is working on is Episode IX. Could he be preparing for a cameo in The Rise of Skywalker?

Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
