Could Marvel Be Preparing A House Of M Story For Its Scarlet Witch Disney Series?

Last month, Marvel surprised fans when it announced that it was developing a brand new Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) miniseries for Disney's upcoming streaming service. Now, a new report reveals another surprising detail regarding the upcoming project – it looks like Wanda Maximoff won't be the only Avenger appearing on the show.

According to Slash Film, not only is the Scarlet Witch series going to feature Wanda Maximoff, but it's also going to give a bit of spotlight to the Avenger's lover, Vision (Paul Bettany). Debuting alongside Wanda in Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015, Vision eventually became Scarlet Witch's lover, bringing to the big screen one of the most significant romances in Marvel comic book history.

For those who aren't that familiar with the character's comic book love story, Vision and Scarlett Witch come together, move to the suburbs, create children out of magic and then lose everything after the comics later reveal that the kids were only apparitions made from Wanda's subconscious. The two share a rather complicated comic book history, and while their romance in the MCU may have only just begun, the appearance of Vision in Scarlett Witch's upcoming television series suggests that Marvel may be thinking of exploring their comic book romance more thoroughly.

After all, what Marvel fan wouldn't want to see Marvel Studios take on the House of M, a comic book series that featured Scarlet Witch altering the very fabric of reality while she tries to recreate her lost children? I know I'd like to see that.

Olsen is set to reprise her role as Wanda in Avengers 4 which premieres on May 3, 2019.
