Concept Art For Canceled Star Wars Battlefront IV Reveals Dark Side Lea And Obi-Wan Kenobi

A new batch of concept art from the canceled Star Wars Battlefront IV video game has made its way online, and in it fans get to see cool Dark Side versions of heroes like Leia and her Twin Luke, as well as a Light Side versions of villains like Darth Vader, Asaj Ventress, and Darth Maul.

There's been a lot of speculation as to what Free Radical's Star Wars game might hold for fans, and now Star Wars gamers get a fresh look at what could have been, well – had Disney continued supporting LucasArts or at least continued its projects when it acquired Lucasfilm back in 2012.

The photos which were shared by Imgur user LukeLandWalker show a lot of cool possibilities for Star Wars Battlefront IV.

"Star Wars Battlefront IV was supposed to take the Star Wars storyline into a different direction, with a perfect "what-if" scenario where the tides were turned. This means the characters you see in 1-6 were flipped, such as Kenobi becoming a Sith lord, or Anakin not losing his limbs on Mustafar. Some parts of the story went as far as Anakin killing Yoda in a duel at Naboo. Along with that, Battlefront IV featured larger battles than any other Battlefront before. This meant a large portion of the planet was playable on, and boosting its player count into tremendous amounts during matches. This was truly going to be the largest Star Wars game ever made," the user wrote on the post.

The idea of role-reversed characters seem pretty interesting, and the concept art all look pretty great to look at. It's hard not to be disappointed over Star Wars Battlefront IV's cancellation and pine for what could have been.
