Chris Hemsworth Being Eyed for Male Lead in Mad Max: Fury Road Prequel

Back in May, George Miller announced that he'd be making a prequel movie to Mad Max: Fury Road, this time focusing on Charlize Theron's kickass character, Imperator Furiosa.

Speaking in an interview with The New York Times, the filmmaker revealed how he had already begun working on the project, saying that he'll be actively working on the Furiosa Mad Max prequel once he completes production on Three Thousand Years of Longing.

Though it might take some time before Miller begins production on the Fury Road prequel, there are new reports going around saying that Warner Brothers is already looking to cast the film's male lade. Though Tom Hardy's road warrior won't be in the movie, The Illuminerdi writes that Miller is planning to introduce a brand new character named Dementus, a character "breathtakingly handsome" with "an angel's face, scarred by a deep forehead wound stitched together by shiny chrome staples."

It seems like Warner Brothers is hoping to find that angel face in Thor: Ragnarok star Chris Hemsworth. According to the entertainment news outlet, the studio is hoping to cast the Avengers: Endgame star as Dementus.

Wile were not entirely sure whether the studio has approached Hemsworth for the role, WB wouldn't go wrong casting the actor opposite of Theron. Not only does the actor have ample experience in films with stunt and action sequences, but he also does have the face and physique of an angel.

Let's wait and see whether WB really does cast Hemsworth as the male lead of its Fury Road prequel.
