Disney’s been trying to acquire 21st Century Fox for quite some time now, and reports regarding the negotiations this week have revealed that the Mickey Mouse House has been the studio’s preferred buyer among the many contenders interested in purchasing its assets.

Now with news claiming that Disney might be a week away from finalizing its deal with 21st Century Fox, Captain America star Chris Evans has decided to throw in a little crossover pitch.

Taking to Twitter, the Marvel star jokingly proposed a superhero buddy comedy movie starring Captain America and the Human Torch if ever the 21st Century Fox buyout were to push through.

Pitching a movie around the same genre as Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Evans pushes for his crossover movie knowing full well that while he plays Captain America, he also used the Human Torch in 21st Centur Fyx’s Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

It might seem like a joke now, but if Marvel Studios were to take the whole pitch seriously, the crossover just might actually pull off (though the studio might need to have someone else play the Human Torch). Who wouldn’t want a Captain America and Fantastic Four crossover?

Let’s just wait and see what happens to Disney and 21st Century Fox’s deal.
