Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 May Get Delayed Due to COVID-19 Outbreak

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might not be scheduled for release until 2022, but it looks like there's a growing concern that the delay in Marvel's roster of films this year may push back the highly anticipated cosmic comic book movie.

According to a report by ComicBook.com, Marvel may be forced to delay the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 because of the novel coronavirus outbreak. COVID-19 spread like wild fire around the globe, and because of lockdowns following the disease, the spread of the novel coronavirus has greatly impacted the entertainment industry.

Not only has Marvel been forced to delay the release of upcoming movies like Black Widow, but it's also forced the studio to shut down the production of highly anticipated films and television series like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as well as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

While most Marvel fans are expecting to see Marvel release Black Widow later this year, we're not entirely sure when exactly the COVID-19 pandemic will come to an end. If the outbreak lasts for more than one month, which it likely will, then Marvel will be forced to further postpone its upcoming movies for Phase 4 of the MCU.

If that happens, then the production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 could also see delay. Sure, we can't be certain yet, but it is a possibility. We'll have just have to sit down, stay at home, and hope that COVID-19 outbreak finally comes to an end.
