The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Release May Also Get Delayed Due to COVID-19

The spread of the novel coronavirus might have taken a major toll on everyone's health and on the economy, but it's hard to deny that the COVID-19 pandemic has also had a major impact on the entertainment industry.

The novel coronavirus has forced organizers to cancel major events like SXSW and the 2020 Electronic Entertainment Expo. It's forced studios to push back the release dates of highly anticipated films like Mulan, No Time to Die, New Mutants, Black Widow, and most recently, Wonder Woman. It's even caused the shutdown of current film and television productions including the development of Marvel's upcoming Disney+ series Loki and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

With production at a standstill, fans can't help but wonder whether the release of Marvel's new series might get pushed back like Black Widow.

Marvel fans have been anticipating the release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier ever since Disney released its very first original Disney+ series, Star Wars: The Mandalorian. Unfortunately, fans have begun to suspect that the Marvel series slated for release later this year may see some major delay thanks to the spread of the novel coronavirus.

According to a report by ComicBook.com, COVID-19 may very well delay the release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Production may have begun way back in October last year, however, the project came across a few bumps during principal photography. Now the novel coronavirus outbreak is adding to the show's production woes, forcing work on the series to come to a halt.
