Black Widow Reportedly Teasing Doctor Doom’s Arrival in Post-Credits Scene

Despite the delays caused by the COVID-19, Marvel fans eagerly anticipate the arrival of Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson's first standalone movie as Natasha Romanoff.

Taking place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the upcoming Black Widow movie will see Natasha Romanoff head on a mission by herself to confront a dangerous conspiracy that has direct ties to her past. While the film is officially a prequel movie, there are reports saying that the post-credits scenes of Black Widow will lay down the foundation for the arrival of Doctor Doom.

According to a report by We Got This Covered, sources close to Marvel say that one of the post-credits sequences for Black Widow will reference the long-rumored debut of Doctor Doom. The scene will feature an individual from Latveria namedropping the powerful Marvel villain and the nation that he comes from, hinting at Doom's highly-anticipated arrival.

Seeing how there have been numerous reports about Doctor Doom finding his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would make sense for Black Widow, the first entry in the Fourth Phase of the MCU, to help establish the character's debut.

However, as likely as it may seem, we advise fans to take the report with a giant grain of salt. Marvel has yet to announce its overarching plans for the Marvel film franchise and the studio has yet to hint at the MCU's next big bad.

Let's just wait and see whether or not Doom will really get a mention in Black Widow.

Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
