Black Panther’s Lupita Nyong’o Rumored As Next Leading Lady In Bond 25

Marvel might definitely be working on a Black Panther sequel after the original film's groundbreaking success, but if Metro Goldwyn Mayer has its way, the Nakia actress Lupita Nyong'o might also join Bond 25 and star opposite Daniel Craig.

According to a report by Deadline, Cary Fukanaga's Bond 25 is currently hoping to cast Nyong'o as the new Bond movie's leading lady. Nyong'o is a great choice for the role.

Not only did the actress win the Best Supporting Actress award during the 2013 Academy Awards for her role in 12 Years A Slave, but she just recently came off her role as Nakia in the Best Picture nominated Marvel movie, Black Panther. Given the training she received in Black Panther, Nyong'o would be ready to play the part of a lady fighting alongside Craig in the new Bond movie.

Though Metro Goldwyn Mayer isn't commenting on any news about Bond 25 as of the moment, there have also been rumors that Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek might come on board the project as the film's lead villain. The actor comes fresh off his Oscar win for Best Actor during this year's Academy Awards.

Should the negotiations between the two be finalized, then Nyong'o and Malek will join Naomie Harris who is returning as Eve Moneypenny, Ben Wishaw who is reprising his role as Q, Lea Seydoux who is playing Madeleine, and Ralph Fiennes who is playing M.

Bond 25 is going to be the last James Bond movie for Craig and while fans are saddened to see him go, many others are eager to see who takes on the iconic role.

Bond 25 is set to premiere on April 8, 2020.
