Black Mirror Season 5 To Feature Miley Cyrus In One Episode

It looks like former Disney starlet and musician Miley Cyrus is going to make her way in a season 5 episode of Charlie Brooker's critically-acclaimed British anthology science fiction series, Black Mirror.

Cyrus just recently made an appearance on Howard Stern's radio show (via The Hollywood Reporter) and during her interview with the radio host, Cyrus confirmed her appearance in the fifth season of Black Mirror. The musician and actress was speaking about losing her home in the recent Malibu wildfires when she made the confirmation, mentioning that she had been away from her house when the fire spread across the state. According to the actress, she had been filming for a series in South Africa at the time, and while Cyrus was careful not to let the name of the series let slip, Stern gave away Black Mirror to which she confirmed with a nod.

As exciting as the news of Cyrus involvement in Black Mirror season 5 sounds, the actress doesn't give away too much information about her role in the series, only revealing that she plays a part with "a lot of different sides."

Fans also know very little about what Brooker has in mind for the next season, though many have been hoping that the writer gives a few follow-ups to popular episodes from season 4 like "USS Callister," and the wistful "San Junipero." While Brooker isn't entirely against world-building and scattering Easter Eggs that serve as nods to popular episodes on the show, we've yet to see the director provide a direct follow-up to any episode in the series.

Black Mirror season 5 has yet to receive a release date. We'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
