Black Adam To Begin Filming This Summer

The aggressive spread of COVID-19 might have canceled major events like this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo and SWSX, but it looks like the novel coronavirus isn't going to do anything to stop Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson from working on his new movie for the DC Extended Universe.

Not only has the Jumanji actor been appearing in the covers of magazines to hype everyone up for Black Adam, but The Rock has also been posting work out photos to show just how excited he is to become DC's new Black Adam.

Taking to Instagram, the wrestler-turned-actor shared a brand new workout photo, this time promising that production on Black Adam would begin this summer.

"Same game, different levels. Same hell, different devils. Training for Black Adam, where the devils may change, but hell still stays the same. #dcuniverse #blackadam⚡️ shooting begins this summer @jonbrandoncruz ?," the actor wrote on his post on Instagram.

Check out the picture that The Rock shared in the post down here:

Johnson certainly seems optimistic about the production of Black Adam. This optimism seems pretty bright considering that a lot of movie releases and productions have been put on hold thanks to COVID-19. Though it's likely that Warner Brothers is going to delay the production of Black Adam when the novel coronavirus outbreak gets even worse, we're glad to see Johnson being optimistic about the project. It doesn't hurt to have a little positive outlook despite the difficult circumstances that everyone's going through.

Black Adam is set to premiere on December 22, 2021.
